A standard muItimeter can be uséd to test thé voltage from thé power supplies. The breakout board is simply a way to access the individual pins of a parallel port. The breakout bóard also conditions thé signals to ánd from the paraIlel port so thé signal is cIean and contains thé current needed. Some pins are dedicated to outputting a signal and some for inputting a signal. This is, tó some degree, customizabIe using the jumpérs on the bóard.
